Obituary for Yvonne Irene Coon

Yvonne Irene Coon died peacefully on Friday July 1st, 2022, in Campbell House – Hospice Georgian Triangle. She was an only child and was predeceased by her mother Yvonne Coon and her father Lance Coon.
Her professional career saw her working for Esso and Shell as a dispatcher but her passion for horses and visual art took up her free time. As a teenager and young adult, she grew to be an enthusiastic equestrian rider and an accomplished artist. Throughout her life she was always accompanied by her Boxer dogs.
When she moved to East Gwillimbury she joined two artists groups. The Mount Albert Group of Artists and the East Gwillimbury Artists.
Early in 2020, she moved into the assisted living floor of Balmoral Place in Collingwood to be close to her dear friend Susan Bray and her husband Grenville. While in Balmoral being in a wheelchair did not deter her from becoming the ‘Queen Bee’ of the second floor where she would entertain both clients and staff. She was very gregarious and made friends easily.
She will be missed by Susan and Grenville; as well as family, cousins and many artists that shared her passion for art. To sign Yvonne’s Book of Memories, please visit www.carruthersdavidson.com
