Died peacefully on Wednesday October 5, 2022 at the General & Marine Hospital, Collingwood at the age of 90. Victor of Stayner, beloved husband of Rhoda for over 68 years. Loving father of Joy (Paul Jackson) and cherished grandpa of Keifen (Meaghan) and Kyle and great grandfather of Seamus and the late Kiara. Dear brother of Wesley and predeceased by siblings Bertie, Raymond and Cecil. He will also be missed by his nieces and nephews, friends and neighbours. Victor was a strong, confident man. He was a veteran of the Korean War. Upon returning home to Ireland, he began a career in policing in Belfast, then Toronto and finally with the O.P.P., including the Stayner detachment. He cherished time with his family and doted on his grandsons and nieces and nephews. He will be missed. A private family service will be held with interment at Stayner Union Cemetery. If desired, a donation to the Salvation Army would be appreciated by Victor’s family.
