Parton, Shirley Eugenia (nee Marsden)
Died peacefully on Friday April 26, 2019 surrounded by her family at the Stayner Care Centre at the age of 91. Shirley of Stayner, beloved wife of the late Bruce Parton. Loving mother of Jeff, Craig (the late Debra), Ken (Kathy) and Doug (Shannon). Cherished grandmother of Dr. Ellie Parton (Louis Saumier), Garret, Tiffany (Mike McFadyen), Ian, Ashley, Cody, the late Ryan and the late Tara and great grandmother of Telesa, Logan, Kaleb, Maxwell and Leo. Shirley was a kind and loving woman who cherished her family. She was exceptionally skilled at hand crafts and as a seamstress, having made many wedding dresses and honouring many with her fine quilts. She was devoted to her community through the Women’s Institute, the Women’s Auxiliary of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 457, SCACA Guild, Barrie and as a devoted parishioner of her church, Jubilee Presbyterian. She will be deeply missed. Friends will be received at the Jubilee Presbyterian Church, 7320 Highway 26, Stayner on Friday May 3, 2019 from 10:30 a.m. until the Funeral Service at 12 noon.
