Died suddenly on Monday July 22, 2019 at his home at the age of 71. Russell of Stayner and of Commanda, beloved husband of the late Dianne (nee Locke). Loving father of Jamie (Jennifer) and Amanda (Andrew Keeping). Cherished grandfather of Natalie and Courtney. Brother of Janice (Paul Coleman). Brother-in-law of Joan Laws. Russell will also be missed by his many nieces and nephews. Russell was a vibrant and fun loving man. He was the long time proprietor of the Lost Channel Inn, welcoming cottagers with his hearty laugh. He wore many hats and was deeply involved in his communities over the years including as a Councillor for Sunnidale Township. He will be deeply missed. Friends will be received at the Carruthers & Davidson Funeral Home – Stayner Chapel, 7313 Highway 26, Stayner on Wednesday July 24, 2019 from 6 to 9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at Centennial United Church, 234 William Street, Stayner on Thursday July 25, 2019 at 1 o’clock.
