Died suddenly on Wednesday January 27, 2021 at the Royal Victoria Regional Hospital, Barrie one month prior to his 88th birthday. Bob of Barrie and Sauble Beach, beloved husband of the late Marilyn (nee Leeks) (2012) for over 54 years. Loving father of Reverend Susan Snelling (Rev. Bill Welch) and Mary Anne (Philip Grant). Cherished grandfather of Rebekah (Shane), Zachary (Alycia), Jocelyn and Sarah and great grandfather of Austin and Daniel. Bob is predeceased by his brothers Fred and Ross and will also be missed by their children Jim, Peter, Fred, Pam, Doug, and Sandy. Bob was a man of strong faith, having celebrated his 60th year of ordination in the Anglican Church. He served in the parishes of St. Jude’s, Oakville, St. Paul’s, Glanford, Grace Church, St. Catharines, St. John’s, Winona and was Pastoral Archdeacon in the Diocese of Niagara for 12 years before his retirement. He enjoyed reading, birding and handcrafts such as macramé. He loved his family and cherished the family memoires of time spent at their Sauble Beach cottage. A celebration of life will be held at a later time. If desired, a donation to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or Primate’s World Relief and Development Fund in Bob’s memory would be appreciated.
