Coxon, Robert George “Bob”

Died suddenly on Wednesday January 19, 2022 at his home at the age of 81. Bob of Stayner, beloved husband of Jane. Loving father of Monika (Chris McKean) and Paul (Mary) Coxon. Cherished grandfather of Melissa (Mathew Varsava), Andrew (Kassidy) Coxon and Katie (Keith George) and great-grandfather of William, Charlotte, Lincoln, Harper-Leigh and Penelope. Dear brother of Judy (Jan Christensen) and the late Joan Coxon. Bob will also be missed by Jane’s family; children Kris (Holly) Foley, Darren (Marilyn) Foley and Heather (Michael McSorley) and grandchildren Elizabeth (Tyler), Nikkole, Jarrid, Rachel, John, Colin and Sara. Bob was a proud member and a past president of RCAF 441 Huronia Wing RCAFA and the Edenvale Classic Aircraft Foundation. He also enjoyed model railroading and was an avid and passionate umpire for local slow pitch and fastball associations. He had a distinguished career in the insurance business and was well known throughout the region. He was a kind man with a great sense of humour. He will be deeply missed.

Cremation has taken place.

The family of Robert "Bob" Coxon will be holding a graveside memorial service at his interment on Saturday September 3rd, 11 a.m., at the Greenwood Cemetery, 40 Cobalt Street,Milverton. A Celebration of the Life of Robert George (Bob) Coxon will be held on Saturday, August 27, 2022 at Stayner Community Centre, 269 Regina Street. Hosted by RCAF 441 (Huronia) Wing of the Royal Canadian Air Force Association. 1:00 pm – Meet and Greet, 2:00 pm – Service of Remembrance. Coffee, water and juice will be available. Please accept this as your invitation to send Bob on his Final Flight.
