Died peacefully on Tuesday July 26, 2022 with Kenny by her side at Bay Haven Senior Care Community, Collingwood at the age 62 following a 22 year battle with Huntington’s Disease. Rita, beloved wife of Kenny. Loving mother of Ryan May and Michael Brook and cherished step-mother of Shirley Howard and Kenny Lake. Dear sister of Spex, Rose (Dale), Johnny and the late Mary and their families. She will be remembered by her grandchildren and her extended family and friends. Rita was a kind and loving woman who cherished her family. She kept a positive attitude. She was a huge fan of baseball, Rod Stewart and especially Elvis. Friends will be received at the Carruthers & Davidson Funeral Home – Stayner Chapel, 7313 Highway 26, Stayner on Wednesday August 3, 2022 from 12 noon until 2 p.m. A Graveside Ceremony will follow at Stayner Union Cemetery. If desired, a donation to Huntington Society of Canada would be appreciated by Rita’s family.
