Duits, Mary Islay (née McNiven)
Passed away suddenly on Sunday, May 26, 2019 at the General & Marine Hospital, Collingwood in her 86th year. Mary of Stayner, formerly of New Lowell, beloved wife of the late Hank (2004). Loving mother of Elsie (the late Lada Laube), Elsa Duits (Brian Dineen), Gary (Loretta), Ella Duits (Brian Miller), Mary Birch (Dave Pierce), Nancy Duits, Jenny (Wes Atkinson), Sue (Tim Rafuse), Hank (Terry), Ed (Tracey) and Rick Tevelde (Diana). Dear Grandmother of 28 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and 3 great great grandchldren. Dear sister of John (Colleen), Harold (Marianne), Isabel (Wallace Black), Elizabeth (the late Bernard Leterneau), the late Don (Iris) and the late Fran (Bill McNabb). Mary will also be missed by the extended Duits family, her many nieces and nephews, friends and neighbours. Friends will be received at the Carruthers & Davidson Funeral Home – Stayner Chapel on Wednesday, May 29, 2019 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at Jubilee Presbyterian Church, Stayner on Thursday, May 30, 2019 at 1 o’clock. Interment Stayner Union Cemetery. If desired, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or Diabetes Canada would be appreciated by the family.
