Daley, Luena Marian

Today, Thursday December 5, 2019, we lost our eldest family member, just two months shy of her 107th birthday.
Luena Daley was truly an amazing woman, who witnessed and experienced so much throughout her life. She was always happy and focused on the positive aspects of life, even through hardship. Music was a major part of her life and she played piano daily, up to the last few months. It is sad she is no longer here to share her joy, however we were lucky to have had her for as long as we did. We will always celebrate her contributions to her family and community. She was truly loved by all.
Her legacy leaves behind, 4 daughters, 14 grand children, 24 great grandchildren, and at least 4 great-great grandchildren. A celebration of her great life will take place on Saturday January 25, 2020 at Centennial United Church, Stayner at 2 o'clock. Family will receive friends from 1 p.m.. Reception to follow.
You’ll not be forgotten xoxo If desired, a donation to Centennial United Church, Stayner would be appreciated.

I have such fond memories of Luena, the wonderful times we spent at the house with Sharon as young girls, Luena & Grandma Bellamy always making us so welcome. Luena's music talent was an asset to our community, she lead our junior choir, gave piano lessons, played for many meetings & still playing at Bay Haven this past summer. My latest memory is of our visit this summer, she made us feel so special. May each of you cherish your memories, to help you through this difficult time. June McFarlane

So sorry to hear of your loss. Mrs Daley was my first piano teacher. I remember her playing at Bay Haven and being at her 100th birthday celebration. Wonderful lady!

I was fortunate enough to spend a number of years with Mrs Daley prior to my retirement from Bay Haven. She was a lovely gracious lady who brought joy through music to both the residents and staff. When there was a cancellation of a pianist she always stepped up and filled in. We had some great chats over the years and many laughs. My condolences to all the family on the lost of their matriarch.

Lots of memories flood back especially of piano lessons cut short because hockey got in the way. At this point of my life when hockey is no more, I really wish I could play the piano. God bless this special lady.
