Obituary

Carol-Ann Kelly Drombolis, born October 8, 1947 in Fort William, Ontario passed away peacefully on July 18, 2020 in Juravinski Hospital, Hamilton, Ontario at the age of 72.

She is survived by her sister, Marina (Garry) Elder, her nephew Dayle (Victoria), her niece Leia and her very cherished great-nephews Nick and Henry.

She is predeceased by her parents Marino (1980) & Christine A. (2019) Drombolis, her sister Christine G. (2015) and her nephew Joe (2008).

After graduating from York University she completed her OEC and commenced her 30+ year teaching career in 1969 through the secondary school system in Grimsby, then Beamsville before retiring. Kelly was a very social and loving individual who spread kindness to everyone she met. She was the keeper of memories for family and friends and had the ability to recall any significant dates, anniversaries and birthdays for all. She even maintained a list of birthdays for what she termed ‘Kelly’s Kids’, who would always receive a card or call for their birthday as they were all considered nieces and nephews. She enjoyed attending Red Hat events, scrapbooking get-togethers, and book club meetings where she is remembered as a kind and giving individual. She was an avid fan of the Hamilton Tiger Cats, Toronto Blue Jays and the Toronto Maple Leafs. Kelly found enrichment in her travels to Australia, Paris, and Ireland, just to name a few, but truly enjoyed the togetherness of family vacations to Elliot Lake in recent years. She was a true friend to all, and she will be greatly missed by family and friends alike.

Kelly was strong in her faith and has now found solace safe in the arms of the angels.

In lieu of flowers, a donation to Food4Kids, Hamilton would be appreciated by Kelly's family.

We will miss all the cards and letters from Kelly and we really appreciated her comming to Winnipeg with your mom when our mom was sick. She always reminded us of the angels and to listen to them when they speak. We have been thinking of you all and send our love Val and Marcy Wpg

Wonderful dedication to Kelly, she is so missed! I love how you call her the "keeper of memories", so true. Kelly taught me so many things, especially to trust we will see our loved ones on the Other Side and that they always keep watch over us. I would always send her a message when I spotted eagles. Kelly stands out as one of the most thoughtful people I have ever known. Thinking of you all

Kelly was so kind and welcoming to me when I came to Canada from Ireland in 1991. She was a great supportive friend to my husband's family who had attended Downsview United church where Kelly had being a member before moving to Stoney Creek.
She continued to keep in contact with us and accompany me on visits to my father in law who had moved to Niagara region. She was always smiling, in good form and adored her family. May she Rest in peace.
