Passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 19, 2019 at the General & Marine Hospital, Collingwood in her 87th year. June of Stayner, loving mother of Sharon (Les) Blakey, David (Jo-Ann) Broderick, John (Rhonda) Broderick, Daniel (Sherrill) Broderick, William (Cindy) Broderick and Virginia Broderick (Ron Wheeler). Cherished grandmother of Joe, Gina, Jesse, Kim, Krista, Calley, Elizabeth, Lorelei, Rachael, Brandy, Angela, Amanda, Stacey, Daniel and Ryan and to her many great grandchildren. Dear sister of Lily Reid, Suzzane Barrett and the late George Shears, the late Doris Long and the late Chesley Shears. June was an independent woman who had a feisty personality and a great sense of humour. She loved her family deeply and will be missed. Friends will be received at the Carruthers & Davidson Funeral Home – Stayner Chapel, 7313 Highway 26, Stayner on Sunday November 24, 2019 from 2 p.m. for the Funeral Service in the Chapel at 3 o’clock. Reception to follow. Interment Monday November 25, 2019 at Stayner Union Cemetery at 10:30 a.m. If desired, donations to the Collingwood General & Marine Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
