Paxman, Joyce (nee McGarvey)
Passed away peacefully at Headwaters Healthcare Hospital on Tuesday January 21st, 2020 in her 83rd year. Joyce, loving mother of Brenda (Jens) Wagner of Everett, cherished grandmother to Jennifer and Ashley Van Geem and devoted sister to Brian (Deb) McGarvey of Stayner. Joyce was predeceased by her parents, Hubert and Myrtle (nee Anderson) McGarvey, both of Stayner.
Joyce was an avid sports fan, animal lover, legion member and prior to retirement, operated Stoney’s Restaurant in Durham, Ontario. Joyce will be lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
The family would like to thank all the staff at Dufferin Oaks for their exceptional care and kindness.
A graveside ceremony will be held in the spring at the Stayner Union Cemetery.
