Peacefully passed away, surrounded by his family on Saturday, July 3, 2021, at St. Michael’s Hospital, Toronto, at the age of 76. Pre-deceased by his parents Sydney and Isabella (nee. Cook). Beloved husband of Gail (nee. Hobbs). Loving father of Rhonda Salerno (Peter) and Christopher (Lisa Kirk). John will be fondly remembered by his grandchildren Michael (Kasia), Matthew, Hayden, Hayleigh, Pat and Rielly, and his great grandchildren Carter, Jordyn and Sawyer. John is survived by his sister Elizabeth Smith, brother in-law Jimmy Hobbs (Linda), Gordon Hobbs (Rema) and sister in-law Kim Turner (Art). To all of his extended family and friends, “Papa” will always be in our hearts. Private family cremation arrangements have been made.
