Passed away peacefully on Wednesday January 11, 2023 at the Collingwood Nursing Home at the age of 88. Robby of Wasaga Beach, formerly of Toronto, beloved husband of the late Betty (2017). Loving father of Debbie (Robert Timlock), Cathie (Jim Coe) and Connie (Ron Kanat). Devoted grandfather of Jill (Jamie Vanderburg), Scott (Sarah) Timlock, Michele (John Smeh), Mike (Brittany) Coe, Ryan Allary and Kristopher (Ashley) Allary and great grandfather of Jacob, Jayden, Sawyer, Lincoln, Austin, Nolan, Jameson, Adalyn, Autumn and Layla. Dear brother of Faye (Jack Delaney) and the late Lance (Penny) Robertson. Robby is predeceased by his parents Jim and Mae (nee Campbell) Robertson. Clair operated Robby’s Mechanical for many years. He had a distinguished political career from 1965, culminating in two terms as the first Mayor of Wasaga Beach from 1974 until retirement in 1978. He was a kind man who was committed to his family and to his community. Friends will be received at the Carruthers & Davidson Funeral Home – Wasaga Beach Chapel, 509 River Road West, Wasaga Beach on Saturday January 14, 2023 from 12 noon until the time of the Funeral Service at 2 o’clock. Spring interment Wasaga Beach Cemetery. Reception to follow in the funeral home lounge. If desired, a donation to the Town of Wasaga Beach Arena/Library building project at https://wb-legacy.ca/or to the Collingwood General & Marine Hospital Foundation for the new hospital fund would be appreciated by Robby’s family.
