With saddened hearts we announce the passing of Gilbert A Godin "Pappy" passed away peacefully at the Collingwood General & Marine Hospital on Friday, December 23, 2022 in his 73rd year with his wife and daughter by his side. Pappy, of Stayner, was the beloved husband of Betty for 52 years. Loving father of Michele Sheard and the late Christopher Godin. Cherished grandfather of Dylan (Katlin), Riley (Josh) and the late Zackery. Treasured great-grandfather of Zaya, Christopher and Ambermay. Dear brother of Alexa Streeter. Predeceased by his parents Gilbert and Helen Godin. Lovingly remembered by his shepherd, Sassy and best friend Bill “One Punch” McCrimmon. He will be greatly missed by all. Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Pappy’s life will be held at a later date with details to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory to Wounded Warriors Canada or the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
