Obituary for George Mayer
George Mayer passed away peacefully surrounded by loving family Thursday February 23, 2023 at Collingwood General & Marine Hospital in his 93rd year.
George took great pride in his family, garden and home. George and his late wife Joyce built their first cottage in Wasaga Beach in 1965 and fell in love with the Georgian Bay area. He had a great love for the game golf and later in life snooker with his buddies at the Rec Plex.
Loving father of Debbie and her husband Guy Pampalone, Barbie and her husband Howard Zamick, John and his wife Wendy. Dear Grandpa of John, Jaclyn, Jessie, Kendra, Heidi and Michaela. Great Grandpa George to Allie, Jolene, Owen and Myles.
He will be dearly missed and his memories will be kept close to our hearts.
Private cremation arrangements. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of George to the Collingwood General & Marine Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
