Mapstone, Ethel Winifred “Winnie”
It is with deep sadness that the family of Ethel Winifred Mapstone announce her passing on May 6, 2021. Known by family and friends as “Winnie” she died peacefully at The Campbell House Hospice in her 98th year with her daughter Ann and son David at her side. Winnie will be lovingly remembered by all in her family: daughter Ann and husband Doug Endicott, their children Craig (Emily), Michael (Kim), and Carol (Kevin), her son David and wife Margaret, and their daughter Leigh (Jim). Winnie had four great grandchildren, Luke, Charlotte, Maggie and Maddie. Winnie was pre-deceased by her husband Norman, son Tony, and family members Beni, Mary, and brother Jim. Winnie was an avid reader, golfer and viewer of English TV shows. She was a very feisty person yet kind and compassionate. Winnie had a special place in her heart for the grandkids and her great grandchildren and Jackson. A celebration of Winnie’s life will occur later this year. Donations in memory of Winnie can be made to Campbell House Hospice, 240 Erie Street, Collingwood, On., L9Y 0X8. The family will always be grateful to Dr. Ghandi, Dr. Boyd, and the nurses at the G&M Hospital, Collingwood, as well as the wonderful staff at Campbell House for their kindness and compassion.
