Died peacefully surrounded by her family on Thursday October 6, 2022 at the General & Marine Hospital, Collingwood at the age of 98. Elisabeth of New Lowell, beloved wife of the late Wilhelmus (Bill) (2003). Loving mother of Gerrit (Lena), Wilma, Willow (Allen Atkinson), Annette (John Van Adrichem), Ted (Laurie) and Elise (Dave Graham). Cherished Oma of Heidi (David), Marylynne (Glen), Jonathan, Mark (Kelsey), Alyssa (Dennis), Hannah, Nicole (Jhon), Jeff (Sabrina), Tracey (Brian), Ryan (Megan), Martin (Corinne), Quinton (Jessica), Daniel (Donna), Benjamin (Alexandra), Ricker (Angela), Alex (Stacy), Amy, Leslie, Julie (Reuben), Samantha, Jennifer and Morgan and great-Oma of Cody (Cheyanne), Dallas (Madison), Joshua (Cheyenne), Kelsey (Brandan), Brennan (Hillarie), Justin (Hannah), Austin, Tyler, Julian, Alexis, Olivia, Mackenzie, Evan, Warren, Marxin, Torin, Mavin, Aldrin, Eider, Nicolas, Victoria, Adam, Holly, Jasper and Oliver and great great Oma for Elliott. Dear sister of Marie VanDerDoelen. Elisabeth is predeceased by her daughter-in-law Edite, her son-in-law Alfred Windatt, grandson Michael, great grandchildren Anthony, Gabriel, Emmanuel, Amelia and Rivi and eleven siblings. Elisabeth was a kind, strong woman who cherished her family. She worked side by side with Bill on the family farm, raising their family together. She loved to crochet and many of her hand crafts are cherished family heirlooms. She was a woman of strong faith and a member of the CWL for over 45 years. She will be deeply missed. Friends will be received at the Carruthers & Davidson Funeral Home – Stayner Chapel, 7313 Highway 26, Stayner on Friday October 14, 2022 from 6 to 9 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday October 15, 2022 at 11 o’clock at St. Patrick’s Roman Catholic Church, 215 Pine Street Stayner. Reception to follow in the church hall. Interment will be at Our Lady of Assumption Cemetery, Brentwood at 2:30 p.m. If desired, a donation to St. Vincent de Paul or Hospice Georgian Triangle Foundation for Campbell House would be appreciated by her family.
