Obituary for Edward 'Ted' Hannan
HANNAN, Ted
On March 2, 2022 after a last visit with family, “Grandad” slipped away with his bride of 60 years by his side.
Ted spent much of his working life in municipal government and enjoyed helping to shape the new Township of Clearview as its first Administrator. He still found time to belong to the Lions and the Legion and through this taught his children the love of community.
He had a full life and took opportunities he never thought he’d have. He spent many years travelling with his wife Kathy and their friends.
He gave his children wings to soar and supported their ambitions. He organized fishing trips and hunting expeditions that his grandchildren cherish.
He will be missed by his wife, Kathryn (nee Gordon), his children Deborah (Trevor) Bronee, Karl Hannan, Christine (Richard) Mercado and his grandchildren Eric (Teresa), Andrew, Millie, Tom and Ethan and his great grandchildren William, Daniel and Anna-Marie,
Also sharing in their loss are his brothers Murray (Barb) and Russell (Sasha), and his nieces and nephews and their families.
The family would like to thank the Healthcare team in the ICU at RVH for their care and compassion and the Township of Clearview for their tribute to Ted's life.
Friends will be invited to a celebration of life at 2 o'clock on Saturday April 30, 2022 at the New Lowell Legion. In lieu of Flowers donations can be made to the New Lowell Legion Branch 516 or a charity of your choice.
