Died peacefully on Tuesday June 14, 2022 at Campbell House Hospice, Collingwood surrounded by his loving family at the age of 88. Ed, beloved husband of Lillian and of the late Lorraine. Loving father of Brenda (Ted Cox), Murray (Teresa) and Sharon (Garry Floyd). Cherished grandfather of Heather (Jason), David (Morgan), Sean (Jenna), Emily (Chad), Meghan, Hayley and Evan and great grandfather of Bryden, Jackson, Maycee, Carter, Lauren, Myles, Scarlett and Silas. Dear brother of Ron (Donna), Marian (Wally Skyrinski), the late Helen (Don Crawford) and the late Douglas (Martine). Ed will also be missed by Lillian’s family – her children Carla (Dwayne Shouldice), Shelley (John Chapman), Kevin (Cheralene) and Charlene Williams, her 17 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Ed was a lifelong resident of the area, farmed for many years and was committed to his community. He was interested in his family and the local history. He wintered in Lakeland, Florida for many years later in life and made many friends from across North America. Ed kept active through his involvement with the various card groups, watching Blue Jays baseball and was a proud former member of the Stayner Lions Club. He will be missed by many. Friends are invited to join his family at Faith Missionary Church, 1355 River Road West, Wasaga Beach on Friday June 17, 2022 for a Memorial Service at 11 o’clock with visitation beginning at 10 a.m. Reception to follow. Private interment Stayner Union Cemetery. If desired, a donation to the Clearview Community Church or Faith Missionary Church for worldwide mission support would be appreciated by Ed’s family.
