Wyant, Dorothy Mildred (nee Harvey) died peacefully on Friday, December 2, 2022 at Collingwood Nursing Home at the age of 83. Dorothy, beloved and devoted wife of the late Charles “Ray” Wyant for almost 60 years. Loving mother of Susan Korz, Nancy Tucci, David and Connie Wyant, Ron and Janet Wyant and Ken and Kimberley Wyant.
Cherished grandmother of Amanda (Pat) Dolan, Sarah (Shane) Reid, Adam (Katarina) Korz; Stefanie (Brandon) Cohen, Matthew (Krystal) Tucci, Madison (Branden) Bertone and Nicholas (Abigail) Tucci; Victoria (Gent Kolndreu) Wyant, Jennifer (Damian) Seary, Christopher (Melissa) Wyant, Jessica (Colin Campbell) Wyant and Michael Wyant; the late David MacBurnie, Brittany (Matt Cox) Wyant, Taylor (Chris) Maybee, Jonathon Haste; Laura Wyant, Ava Wyant, Peyton Wyant and Lilly Wyant and twenty-two great-grandchildren.
Dear sister of Eric (Barb) Harvey, Harold (the late Jean) Harvey and the late Linda Harvey, the late Lloyd Harvey, the late Margaret (Ernie Peverill), the late Marion (Vern Day), and the late Paul (Dora) Harvey. Dorothy will also be missed by her many nieces and nephews.
Dorothy was a devoted, hardworking farming partner to Ray while she lovingly cared for her 5 children. She didn’t go a day without a smile on her face, never complaining and always willing to lend a hand where she was needed. Her fun, loving, easy going demeanour will be greatly missed.
Friends will be received at the Stayner Evangelical Missionary Church, 202 Ontario Street, Stayner on Saturday, December 10, 2022 from 1-2 p.m. with the funeral to follow at 2 p.m. Spring interment Stayner Union Cemetery. If desired donations to the Alzheimer’s Society would be appreciated by Dorothy’s family. Arrangements under the direction of Carruthers & Davidson Funeral Home.
