Died peacefully, surrounded by family on Friday December 3, 2021 at Hamilton General Hospital at the age of 42.
Brent of Markdale, formerly of Newfoundland, is survived by his loving, devoted wife and best friend, Tracy Delaney. Beautiful daughter, Zoey Delaney and wonderful step-son Tre Harvey. Mother, Bonita Delaney and father, the late John Matthews, in-law's, Ervin and Joyce Harvey, as well as family. Stepsisters, Janice Matthews and Janet Driscoll. Nephew and nieces, Tevonte, Janemarie, April and Adrian. Grandparents, Tim and Leona Newman. Along with so many wonderful friends who are just like family.
Brent was a dynamic man who lived his life at full throttle. He was hardworking, deeply caring and helpful to anyone and everyone he met. He was a very sociable, boisterous man who had no filter. You always knew where you stood with Brent. He loved the outdoors, whether it be ripping out on his two or four wheel machines, sledding, hunting or fishing, he enjoyed it all. Brent was an amazing man with a heart of gold, who loved his family and friends so dearly. He will be missed by so many people who have had the pleasure of creating wonderful memories..
His family will gather for a private memorial service on Saturday December 18, 2021 at 3 o’clock. The ceremony will be available to view on the Carruthers & Davidson YouTube channel.
