Passed away peacefully at the Reactivation Care Centre – Toronto, on Saturday, August 17, 2019, her 91st birthday. Beloved wife of the late Oscar Dickey (2009). Loving mother of Jennifer Dickey (George Man) and Janice Dickey (Mike Rennie). Amazing grandmother of Olivia and Addy Rennie. Cherished sister of Wilma Morphet, June Watt and the late Doreen McDermid.
Beryl was an adventurous, curious, fun-loving person who never liked to sit still. A teacher by vocation, she was interested in all things connected to nature, from animals to plants to outer space. Throughout her lifetime she travelled to many corners of the world, and her wanderlust continued until her health began to decline two years ago.
Much-loved by all who knew her, she will be greatly missed. A private family interment at Stayner Union Cemetery will be held at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to Carruthers & Davidson Funeral Home, Stayner Chapel. The family would like to give a special thank you to the wonderful nursing staff at the Reactivation Care Centre for their compassion and care.
