Died peacefully with family by her side on Monday April 19, 2021 at the Stayner Care Centre at the age of 93. Aletta of Stayner, beloved wife of the late William Kraan. Loving mother of Robert (Liz), Jennifer (Wayne Scott), Michael (Susan) and Tim (Monica). Cherished Oma of Derek, Andrew (Yateh), Nathan (Karin), Joshua (Maura) and Elijah (Bomi) Kraan, Angie (Andrew) and Kendall (Jenny) Scott and Bryan Mercier and great Oma to Rebecca Scott-Morris and Jayden of Australia, Olivia, Kamryn and Adelle Mercier, and Eleanor Bronwyn Scott. Dear sister of Mieke Knuff and the late Anthony, Andries, Jacoba and Nel. Aletta was a kind and nurturing woman who was loved by all who met her. She was generous, and everyone who entered her home was welcomed warmly, and usually with an amazing cup of coffee and a cookie. She was the special "Tante Letty" to many nieces and nephews. She will be fondly remembered by her family and friends. Aletta’s family wish to thank Dr. Lane and the wonderful staff of the Stayner Care Centre for their exceptional care and compassion. Cremation has taken place. Her family will gather for a Private Memorial Service on Wednesday April 28, 2021.
