Pierce, Larry Thomas (Royal Canadian Air Force – Corporal, Retired)
Died peacefully on Monday December 25, 2017 at Campbell House, Collingwood, surrounded by his family at the age of 82. Larry of Wasaga Beach, beloved husband of Claudette. Loving father of Richard (Lamata Neil Pierce), Jerry (Pam), Susan (Al Riddell), Denise (Terry Cameron) and James (Alma). Cherished grandfather of Ashley (Don Binkle), Mitch (Marianna Lopez), Matt, Jonathan (Codi Lavergne), Katie, Jason, Tyler, Tomas, Miley and Alice. Great grandfather to Nate, Jack and Noah. Dear brother of Wesley (Iris), Colleen Pierce (Christopher Price) and Sandra Pierce. Larry was a 20 year veteran of the Air Force, including years as an instructor at Base Borden. His passion was flight – building and flying aircraft, including model aircraft. He was an outgoing and vibrant man who had a presence wherever he was. He will be dearly missed. Friends will be received at the Carruthers & Davidson Funeral Home – Wasaga Beach Chapel, 509 River Road West, Wasaga Beach on Saturday January 6, 2018 from 1 p.m. for the Memorial Service in the Chapel at 2 o’clock.
