OUR HERITAGE The century facility of the Carruthers & Davidson Funeral Home has been providing funeral services to the area since 1872 when it was established as the Mathers Furniture Store and Undertaking. The Mathers family, longtime Stayner residents, owned and operated the business for over 100 years.  Paula (nee Carruthers) and Shawn Davidson purchased the funeral home in October 2001 from Pauline and Bill Tofflemire who had been operating as the Tofflemire Funeral Home since 1987.  Paula and Shawn are dedicated to providing professional and compassionate service to those who call upon them for assistance during a most difficult time.  They provide a wide selection of services and merchandise involving both cremation and burial that will meet your needs, wants and budgetary goals.  They listen to your needs and help you to create a personalized and meaningful ceremony that will positively reflect the life that has been lived and help you say goodbye your way.
