Paula (nee Carruthers) was born and raised in Stayner. She spent time working in the funeral home as a student with the former owners, Pauline and Bill Tofflemire. Paula completed her apprenticeship with Turner & Porter Funeral Directors in Toronto. Paula and Shawn married in 1999 and together they have a daughter Olivia. |

He graduated from Humber College and was licensed as a funeral director in 1993.
