Passed away peacefully into the arms of her heavenly Father on Tuesday September 18, 2018 at the Stayner Care Centre at the age of 97. Millie of Stayner, beloved wife of William Husak for over 67 years. Loving mother of Paul (Margaret), Dan (Michelle), David, Joy (Michael Ryan) and John Hachey. Cherished grandmother of Carrie (Brian Lawes), Aaron (Jessica), Danielle Husak, Michelle (Dan Hall) and Ethan and Savanna Ryan and great grandmother to Hayden, Hudson and Emma Hall. Millie is survived by her brother Jack Ewles and predeceased by siblings Edith Colquhoun, Louise Hopkins, Eileen Tarpley and Henry, Gordon and Ken Ewles. She will also be missed by her many nieces and nephews, neighbours and friends. Millie was a kind and loving woman who enjoyed her gardens, knitting and writing letters in calligraphy. She loved to sing and play board games. She will be deeply missed. Friends will be received at the Carruthers & Davidson Funeral Home – Stayner Chapel, 7313 Highway 26, Stayner on Thursday September 20, 2018 from 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Friday September 21, 2018 at 2 o’clock. Interment Stayner Union Cemetery. Reception to follow at the Jubilee Presbyterian Church Hall. If desired, a donation to a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
